Extending your home
Whilst your home is unique, a successful property extension follows a proven process. As the homeowner, you will only achieve the outcome you’re looking for by being involved at crucial stages throughout this process. You can draw on our experience as much or as little as you like – our involvement will help improve your decision-making which can prove invaluable and help avoid stress and problems.
Layout planning
If you’re thinking an extension could improve your home, you’ve probably already got some ideas in mind. Before committing thousands to commission an architect, we take the time to understand your thinking and will draw up your plans to scale ensuring feasibility, plus also provide alternative room arrangements for your consideration.
You’ll find the process of doing this really helpful as you figure out what you really want, need and space will allow for. This can be crucial when briefing an architect and likely reduce the time and costs, plus the risk you’re not happy with what you receive back.
If you're already at the daunting stage where you have some architect's plans, we can support you to review and consider these. Perhaps simply providing a second pair of eyes or working out how your existing or new furniture will be arranged in the space.
Plumbing, Lighting and Electrical plans
We take the time to understand how you live in your home, enabling us to create simple to read plumbing, lighting and electrical plans that can be given straight to tradespeople. When builders and tradespeople understand the exact requirement, they are less likely to increase quotes to cover any ambiguity, ultimately saving you money. This will also irradicate the need to make decisions on the spot, when the trades start work. We can also work with you to design zoned lighting areas and put the switches in intuitive places.
